Why is the caterpillar lonely?

I know this is a little bit of a random name for a blog so I thought I would start by telling you a little bit about me.

I am a wife to an awesome techy Hubby Ben, A mum to two beautiful precious children, Megan and Elijah. I am a psychology and criminology student, an arthritis patient, a Christian, I have two crazy dogs and I live in Antrim in Northern Ireland.

I have had 29 years of  ups and downs, I reckon I’ve racked up a bit of life experience and I have a bit of a story to tell.

The reason the lonely caterpillar is my chosen name is that I reckon my life has been made up of a fair few caterpillar and butterfly moments. I am very aware that we can’t get those glorious butterfly moments without putting up with the caterpillar ones (usually the hairy poisonous kind) and that usually there’s a lot of time spent in the cocoon wondering if things can get better or if things are really just all over.

The purpose of this blog is to share both types of moments and to share maybe a few things that have helped me find my way from caterpillar to butterfly and sometimes things that just help caterpillar moments seem just not quite so bad. Don’t be fooled though, I don’t have anything all figured out. I’ve simply worked out that sharing the journey at least means that even in the rough times, if the caterpillar isn’t lonely it doesn’t care so much if it isn’t a butterfly.
